08/04/2010 - Foxboro, MA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New England Patriots signed offensive lineman Eric Ghiaciuc to an undisclosed contract on Wednesday.

Ghiaciuc, 29, did not play in the NFL in 2009, as he was waived by the Chiefs prior to the regular season and did not play for the Chargers after signing a contract with them in late December.

Cincinnati selected the Central Michigan product in the fourth round of the 2005 draft, and the 6-foot-4, 303-pound lineman started 42 of the 48 games he played in for the Bengals.

To make room on the roster, the Patriots released rookie offensive lineman John Wise.
